Recent Buys #2 (Rimmel)

Recently I went to Ireland because I was invited to a wedding there. Whilst there I realised how bad my makeup was, well at least some of it. Especially my concealer and foundation/ BB Cream, so I went to the shops by where we were staying and found that they only sold makeup from 3 brands; Rimmel and 2 others I'd never heard of. So I brought; 

I brought this BB Cream in the light shade and I'm glad I brought it because it is so easy to apply and is matte, which I prefer.  

(I didn't buy this in Ireland)
I brought this recently as my old powder has smashed and a lot of people have given this high ratings. I like it as it lasts well on my BB Cream and is also matte.  

I managed to get this for free as there was a deal on; if you spent over a certain amount you would get the bronzer. This is a good bronzer and is better than my old mua one. It seems to be matte even though it says 'Sun Shimmer'.

I needed a new concealer as mine was both old and not the right shade. This has also got high ratings and so I purchased this in shade 030 Classic Beige.

TRXYE

As you guys would know if you read my blog, I love Troye Sivan. And if you all like Troye then you'll know what this post is going to be about judging by the title. 

Trxye is Troye's first proper EP/ Small album. He has released different songs but never to this extent. I am so proud of Troye for this, as he has always wanted to release his own professional music.

Now, me, not having the money to buy his official merch brought a TRXYE top of ebay. 

So that is the tshirt I brought from here. It was so cheap and came the next day which is amazing because I brought it for Summer In The City about 3 days before I had to go to London.

Mix Tape

It was recently my friend, Liv's birthday and for her birthday I made her a mix tape CD. The music on this CD had a depressing sort of theme and I tried to make all the songs songs that she wouldn't know well.

Looking for Amber

I have changed my layout and to be honest my whole blog. It is now called 'Looking For Amber' which, yes, is obviously "taken" from 'Looking For Alaska' by john Green (which if you haven't read then read it because it is the best John Green book in my opinion). I am not saying I made up the name because I just adapted it for my blog and my header and background include the daisy which is well known to be on the cover of 'Looking For Alaska'.

I have included 4 social media websites in my header; Blogger, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. You can follow me on these because I use them a lot- I also have an 8tracks account but haven't put it in the header- here's the link. 

So I suppose this post was just a disclaimer in case any one thinks I'm trying to say I made up the name completely and to tell you that I had changed my blog around- the URL is now www.lookingforamber.blogspot.com

I would like any feedback you have, if you think my layout isn't good, I'd like to know; if you like it please tell me etc. Also if you have any ideas for posts let me know. I will not be sticking to a schedule and will be randomly posting; whether that be next week or in a few months but I would like to try blogging more.

Recent buys

heey guys, 
I know in my last post I said that I was going to post more often but you know I was busy. 
Two weeks ago I went to France for french exchange and then yesterday I got back from a week in Wales wiTH NO WiFi. yes, that is a whole two weeks with no WiFi and no I did not cope. Luckily when Sing came out (if you don't know what that is or haven't heard it yet *cough* Liv *cough* then I am judging you)I had 3g on my phone, it is incredibly slow but at least in some places I had OK signal. I also escaped to costa numerous times to use their WiFi...oops. 
Anyway, in this post I will be sharing with you some of the things I have brought from France or from Wales:) I won't write about them because otherwise y'all will be asleep...

There we go, I hope you were indescribably interested in what I brought (note: Sarcasm).

Anyway, thank you for 2000+ views, I went on blogger after like a month or so and suddenly had 2000 which I don't think I had before so thanks:) and I haven't posted so I dunno how it happened but thank you.

Sorry

heyy guys, 
I haven't updated for ages now, I think over a month, and I am very sorry. I could just list a load of excuses but to be honest I don't really have any. I mean I've been busy and all that but it is mostly down to me procrastinating. 
I have been reading fan fics a lot. I have been mostly doing that since Christmas, you can see how great and exciting my life is. 
I don't really know if I will carry on writing a blog twice every week. I mean I want to carry this blog on but I don't think I can do it twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Instead I might just update when I can, or when I am not reading fan fics.
It would be great if you could help me out by commenting what you would like to see me write about. I will probably write a few book reviews, such as Paper Towns or looking for Alaska by John Green. 
Thanks for reading this and I am yet again sorry for not updating, will hopefully do so at least once a week.

Ed Sheeran Tickets

heey guys, 
so as you might know, I love Ed Sheeran so much. My friend went to see him last year when he came to my town and she invited me but I couldn't come because I had a dance show and I was so upset about that because I really want to see him live. 
He recently announced that he was doing a UK/Ireland tour and I was so excited! The tickets went on sale last Friday and I was going to get them then but I ended up getting early ones on Wednesday. I could get them then because I am subscribed to his mailing list. 
My dad succeeded in getting the tickets and I was crying with happiness at school. I am seeing him in London in October. 
The only down side to this is that I have to go with my family:/ and I have to sit because you have to be older to stand but that's not too bad.

DIY cookies

heey guys, 
so this is a DIY post on how to make cookies. I did this with my friend liv and so I put half of the recipe on my blog and the other half is on hers. 

You will need:
125g softened butter
125g caster sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla extract
225 self-raising flour
1/2 tsp salt

That is the mix done, if you want to see how we decorated them go over to Livs blog.

Southampton (small haul from urban outfiters)

Heey guys,
On new years eve me and my friend Laura went to Southampton to go shopping in West Quay. I only brought 2 things and a drink but I liked looking around.
Both of us have been to West Quay once before so we knew some of the shops that were there. There wasn't a superdrug or boots in west quay itself though:(
I went with enough money to buy moments, the one direction perfume but because I didn't think there was a superdrug I didn't buy it. I did see it in the perfume shop but I have a voucher for superdrug.

After 2ish hours of looking around west quay we went out and there was a whole street of shops and me and Laura found urban outfitters. This shop, as Laura put it, is tumblr in a shop, which is very true. Everything in there is unique. They have clothes (although the clothes are very expensive), jewellery, random things, books. I saw a thing that you hang on your ceiling and clip photos to(£12) and was going to buy it but wouldn't have a good place to put it.

Instead I brought a photo frame, which I think is really nice, is was £8 but reduced to £4.

I also brought a wreck this journal. Laura told me about these but I didn't quite understand what she was on about until I saw it and realised I have seen books like it before. This was £8.99.
